Secretary of War Timothy Pickering (1745-1829) writes to the Superintendent of Military Stores Samuel Hodgdon, "You will please to have transported to St. Marys in Georgia two eighteen pounders, two twelve pounders and two four pounders and to Colerain two four pounders, with the necessary apparatus and one hundred pounds of ammunition for each..."
