These Annual Reports deal with the, "...progress and condition of the United States National Museum" (the Smithsonian). Specific sections in each Report are devoted to detailed reports on the collections (Anthropology, Biology, Geology, Arts and Industries) and to the National Gallery of Art. In addition, lists of accessions for each collection are provided, as are lists of each collection's publications. From 1905 to 1923 each Report is bound in the original green cloth. From 1925 to 1943 the volumes are bound in cloth over the original wrappers.
