Description:

4 volumes. Numerous illustrated plates, some folding, printed tissue guards. Original flexible blue silk covers, printed labels with red chops, preserved in blue silk-covered portfolio, ivory clasps.

Chang was a master painter with expert knowledge of Chinese art. Rumored to have forged some works of art, he remains controversial in the art world.

Condition:

Portfolio stained, with wear along edges; volumes show very light wear, else near fine.
