Description:

Engraved silver plate inkstand, with figure pieces of: pair of crossed clubs leaning against small fence, two side golf balls that open (some old ink residue present), on engraved crest shape platform, resting on affixed small golf balls. Platform portion measures 7¼x9¼".

Maker’s marks on bottom “GWS, E.P.N.S.” and “6726” engraved. This piece similar to one pictured in Olman’s Encyclopedia of Golf Collectibles (1985), lower left side of p. 209.

Condition:

One golf ball ink holder lid a bit loose, slight darkening overall, mild age wear to bottom underneath; very good or better.
