With 65 hand-colored engraved maps (32 are double-page), plus insets; 4 other double-page maps (2 of Europe, 1 of Italy and 1 of France) not colored; all on 47 map-sheets (mostly double-sheets). Also, 2 double-page plate of various diagram drawings (mountains and rivers of the world, astrological information, etc.). 13¼x10, publisher’s ¼ morocco & printed tan boards. New Edition.

Condition:

Spine worn (lower half mostly perished), ends and corners bumped, rubbing, a few stains and frays; binding shaken, some of the maps with old paper repairs, occasional foxing, finger-soiling, other mild wear; maps mostly very good, binding fair to good and in need of repair.
