Description:

Sepia-tone photograph of American pilot Eddie Rickenbacker, receiving a plane-shaped trophy, framed. Approx. 15x11¾" overall.

Inscribed and signed by Eddie Rickenbacker “To C.A. Barry, marry x-mas and Happy New Year, Capt. E[ddie] V. Rickenbacker” in black ink. Rickenbacker (1890–1973) was a WWI fighter ace and Medal of Honor recipient, an aviation and automotive pioneer, government consultant in military matters. Among other events, he participated in or observed Armistice Day on the Western Front.

Condition:

Light wear overall, else very good or better.
