A fabulous 18th century manuscript prayerbook in German, each page with a watercolor headpiece in two colors in the upper margin, additional watercolor head and tailpieces in text where space allowed, some occupying as much as a half page. The full page illustrations depict various biblical scenes including the last supper, the Crucifixion of Christ, the resurrection, etc. Initials A.L.K. and the date 1793 in gilt on covers.
