Inscribed and signed by Hunter S. Thompson on front preliminary leaf: “To Robin, thanks for the whiskey in Bellingham [Washington], Hunter S. Thompson.” Includes a ticket stub (2x4¼ with small piece torn off) from a HST speech at the University of Washington in Bellingham, May 31 [1987?], showing provenance, laid in. Account of the 1972 campaign cemented Thompson's status as the consummate Outlaw Journalist. Early issue jacket without white boarder to rear panel photo.
