72 pp. 9½x6¼, green cloth-backed patterned paper over boards, paper spine label, page edges untrimmed, jacket. One of 100 copies printed on special paper, this copy undesignated. First Edition.

Signed by the author in the colophon. Wilson's important evaluation of Steinbeck on pages 41-53, along with five other West Coast authors: James M. Cain, William Saroyan, F. Scott Fitzgerald (who had later moved to Hollywood), O'Hara and Storm. Goldstone & Payne F10.

Condition:

Jacket spine a bit darkened, a few short tears, small finger-prints on rear panel; minor dampstains to lower margins of boards; some pages impatiently opened causing marginal tears; else very good overall.
