Description:

Pen-&-ink drawing, signed and dated at lower right. 9¾x12¼, matted and framed under plexiglass.

On the back of the frame is the inscription: "Harold Bugbee regularly drew the cover sketches for the Panhandle-Plains Historical Review. This sketch was drawn for the 1953 magazine which was the first of five that I edited, and Harold gave it to me. The horse is branded with the Matador horse brand. I am now giving this picture to Ford Mitchell with sincere appreciation for his help... July 14, 1989." The signature on the inscription is indecipherable.
