With four plates by Douglas Duer. Brown cloth lettered in gilt, color pictorial cover label. First Edition.

With Zane Grey's autograph in purple ink on 3x5" blank thick-stock card (gilt edges), laid in. Considered to be Grey's most popular novel. First state with the copyright information in the center of the copyright page and includes “Published January, 1912”; later states have a box containing further titles by Grey.

Condition:

Mild soiling and darkening to cloth, leaning a bit, slight shelf wear; front hinge repaired, early owner's signature; about very good; autographed card fine.
