Vol II of four folios. [4], IX, [1] pp. Text by Roger-Armand Weigert, Conservateur, Cabinet des Estamps, Bibliotheque Nationale. 24 numbered plates. Folio, loose as issued in pictorial wraps and paper boards. 15x11. No. 3926 of 4,000 copies.

Covers the period of 1778-1787 in the series Costumes et Modes d'Autrefois, with 24 illustrations of costumes hand-colored in pochoir by Edmond Vairel on papier velin made by Papeteries Aussedat after drawings by notable French artists.

Condition:

Wrappers with moderate wear to edges; brown sheet laid down on recto of rear free endpaper, neat library label laid down on half-title, slight soiling to preliminary pages, plates fine to near fine.
