Description:

Catalogues 20 to 32, each only a few pages, bound together. With 26 halftone plates with multiple images of artifacts, 14 of them tipped to black leaves, the others with tissue guards. 8¾x5½, cloth, spine lettered in gilt.

Scarce catalogues of treasures from far-away lands. Oldman was one of the early great collectors, a contemporary of William Brigham of Bishop Museum, Edge-Partington, and Webster. Runs of his sale catalogues are very rare.

Condition:

Minor chips to a few of the black leaves, a few coming loose; very good.
