Although never published, the Blue Book, are an important set of notes dictated to his class at Cambridge in 1933–1934 and contains seeds of Wittgenstein's later thoughts on language (later developed in the Investigations), and is widely read today as a turning point in his philosophy of language. Ludwig Josef Johann Wittgenstein (1889-1951), Austrian philosopher who contributed several ground-breaking works to contemporary philosophy, primarily on the foundations of logic, the philosophy of mathematics, the philosophy of language, and the philosophy of mind. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential philosophers of the 20th century.
