"The same year [1870] saw a Cherokee literary revival and by authority of the Nation John B. Jones began the preparation of a series of school books in the Cherokee language and alphabet for the benefit of those children who knew no English. The series seems to have ended with the arithmetic." Forman 51.

Condition:

Extremities rubbed; offsetting, light foxing, and darkening to volume, else near fine.
