Description:

Copper-engraved map on two large sheets, hand-colored in outline, with large uncolored pictorial cartouche (featuring a naked damsel lying on the groung), inset of "The Seacoasts of Great Britain and Ireland." Each sheet approx. 58x98 cm. (23x38½").

Detailed and significant map of Ireland at the end of the 18th century.

Condition:

Some soiling, wear along creases, tape repairs on verso mending this and a few other tears, darkening at edges; about very good.
