Single sheet, folding, with 14 panels with text on one side, on the other a large map of Alaska, with inset map of western U.S. and 3 illustrations from photographs. Overall 28x18½", folding to 6¾x4¾.

Information on the gold fields of Alaska, how to get there, what to expect there, the climate of the region, what to wear, what to take in the way of supplies, etc. etc. All one really needed to know before hopping on a steamer and heading for the frozen north.

Condition:

A few small nicks at folds, very good or better.
