Apparently the first book of consolidated rules for the Royal Mounted Police, giving very detailed information on the dress, comportment, duties, and other aspects of a Canadian Mounty's activities. Include directives on "Disposal of horses, lost, dead, cast. &c."; "Escorting Prisoners and Lunatics"; "Care of Handcuffs and Leg Irons"; "Officer's Uniforms and Dress Regulations"; much on the diseases of horses, and more. Name of C.A. Pilkineton written on front cover, occasional notes within. On the front pastedown are additional notation, some adhesion damage, and what is apparently the signature of the Commissioner of the R.N.W.M.P.
