Blind-stamped orange cloth with gilt-lettered blue cloth spine, jacket.

Signed by Douglas MacArthur in blue ink on the front free endpaper. Edition not stated on the copyright page, presumably an early printing. Includes a 1951 booklet "A Patriot Points the Way" from MacArthur's speeches in Texas, laid in.

Condition:

Jacket price clipped, a few tears and creases (chiefly on rear panel with tape repair), scattered dampstains (one slightly affecting a few preliminary pages); volume about fine, jacket still very good.
