Volume I of the work was first published in 1736, comprising the introduction and the chronology to 1630; by 1755, the author had continued the work to 1633, the additions being published in three small pamplets. Prince died in 1758, and it was not until the present edition that the first part was combined with the additions. Added to the lot is Vol. IV (of 5) of the publication of this work in the series Bibliotheca Curiosa, 1888, limited to 275 copies, in parchment wrappers (darkened). Howes P615.
