Scarce items from the famous Poodle Dog restaurant of San Francisco. The original “Poodle Dog” restaurant was located at Dupont and Washington Streets in San Francisco, established in 1849. It later moved to Bush and Grant (formerly Dupont) and in 1898 a new and larger one was built at Mason and Ellis. In 1906, the original and the 1898 buildings were destroyed and later rebuilt in 1908-09 at Bush Street and called Bergez-Frank’s Old Poodle Dog.
