Both are approx. 15x10, facsimile is bound in half brown morocco & wooden boards, spine lettered in gilt, raised bands; text is quarter morocco & linen; slipcase.

Superbly produced facsimile of the massive codex in the Vatican library, created at the monastery of Monte Cassino in Italy about 1070. This lectionary contains scriptural references and passages and stories about three saints of the abbey: Benedict; his twin sister, Scholastica; and Maur, Benedict's first disciple.
