Presentation copy of this enchanting and attractive little work. Inscribed and signed on the front free endpaper: "Arthur Matthison Esq. with the respects of A.G. Allerton / N.Y. Oct. 26 1869". Bruns lists this as "rare" and much appreciates Allerton's humor, devotes almost 2 columns to his description and calls Allerton a "first rate nit-picker". Bruns A90; Westwood & Satchell p.4.
