Description of golf, golfers, Scottish clubs and the links at St. Andrews on pages 71, 77-79, and 169; a folding map dated 1849 depicts the town, with the links in the northwest. Published the same year as the first edition and nearly identical, except no ad pages in the back. Murdoch p. 13.
