Description:

Circular copper award medal 1½" in diameter with medal loop attached to maroon silk ribbon (1¾" long) and small safety pin.

A rare and early medal awarded only five years after the club first opened in 1895. Located in Norfolk County, Massachusetts, this superb course was designed by the Scottish-born and legendary golf architect, Donald Ross (1872-1948), who helped design over 400 golf courses throughout the U.S., 100 of which U.S. National Championships have been played.

Condition:

Medal a bit rubbed and darkened, slight wear to ribbon, else near fine or better.
