Description:

Engraved additional title. 6¼x3½, elaborate morocco binding by Sangorski & Sutcliffe; original wrappers bound in. One of 550 copies printed on japanned paper.

Gem-like Sangorski & Sutcliffe binding in full blue-green crushed morocco, spine in six compartments, four with red morocco heart inlays; both covers tooled in gilt with red morocco corner flowers and central love-heart red morocco inlays, also gilt-stamped; top edge gilt; doublures with red and blue panelled morocco gilt on inside covers and purple silk covered fly-leaves. Bookplate of Emily O'Neill Davies.

Condition:

Mild darkening to spine, some expert, nearly invisible, repair to joints, silk a little faded; near fine.
