Cartari's scarce guide to the iconography of mythology with the many interesting engravings. Cartari was born circa 1500. This edition appears to be a newly revised version of his Le Imagini de i Dei degli antichi... (1571) which was one of the most important mythological source books for Baroque (and later) artists.
