The etchings are printed on pale brown laid paper; they are a portrait of Berthe Morisot and a portrait of Charles Baudelaire in profile. The woodcut is printed in brown and black, depicting a nude odalisque with cat. Duret's scholarship was very important for establishing Manet's reputation. These plates were made at the Pan-Presse.
