39 loose color plates, appear to be produced by collotype and hand-colored using the stencil process. 15½x12" sheet size, plate sizes vary.

Beautiful facsimile of William Blake's Illustrations of the Book of Job, with rich coloring. Appears to be a facsimile of two different copies, with the title-page and at least some of the other plates present in two versions. Included with this lot is a photocopy of the prospectus for the 1987 William Blake Trust edition "Colour versions of William Blake's Book of Job designs". It makes a note that "A small number of the plates was sold separately by the Trianon Press at the exhibition 'William Blake's Illustrations for the Book of Job: The Making of a Facsimile' held at the Victoria and Albert, 1976. These were issued without text and accompanying matter and are out of series with the present publication". These would be those plates.
