A photocopied script, as it was issued to the staff and crew. However most of these pages are photocopied from the photocopied release, to complete the script. Three pages (pp. 129-131) are the original released photocopy script with inked directional notes for the actor playing the character "Moe." It also has a faint rust stain and impression from an old paper clip on the top margin of each of the three pages. Signed by Mario Puzo on unlined white index card, affixed on inside of blue cover facing out of the cut-out box section on upper portion, below the official rubberstamped Paramount logo and silver embossed lettering "Paramount Pictures." Extra pages at end include the working list of cast members (leaving out Al Pacino's name and with other roles undecided); a list for other acts to play key rolls including stars to play Michael Corleone such as: Dustin Hoffman, Robert Redford, Warren Beatty, Ryan O'Neal, Jack Nicholson and others, "Known but not Stars": Tony Lo Bianco, Robert De Niro; Al Pacino, Martin Sheen, Dean Stockwell and others; Notes on script; Wedding Scene notes, plus other scene notes. The Godfather endures as director Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece capturing superb performances by Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert Duvall, James Caan, Sterling Hayden, Diane Keaton, Richard Conte, Talia Shire, John Cazale, Abe Vigoda, etc. The 1972 movie won Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Writing/Screenplay, and Marlon Brando won for Best Actor for his performance in a Leading Role. The film has been recently chosen as third all time on the American Film Institute’s List of the 100 Outstanding American Films.
