Thorough botanical dictionary with bright chromolithographed plates. The first four volumes with the 26 chromolithograph plates and the last three volumes with the 12 regular color plates. Spines all stamped in gilt with the London publisher "L. Upcott Gill" but the title pages begin with the New York publisher. However, the final volume is from the British publication with price stamped in gilt in British pounds and title page states only the London publisher.
