Translated from the French by Katherine Woods. Illustrated in color by the author. 8¾x7, tan-colored cloth with illustration on front cover, jacket. First American Edition, later issue.

Classic children's book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery, a fantasy stumbled upon while stranded in the Sahara Desert after a forced landing. Later issue having the tan cloth and not the salmon-colored cloth and there is no colophon regarding the printing; and later issue jacket with publisher's 383 Madison Avenue addess and not the Fourth Street address.

Condition:

Darkening to jacket spine and margins, short tears and chipping to edges, some creases and soiling, price clipped, rear joint split with tape repair on verso; volume spine slightly leaning, shelf wear, spine ends a bit frayed; signature of Donald Curiee on the front free endpaper, else a very good copy with a good or better jacket.
