One of the most spectacular and vivid plates from the atlas which accompanied Prince Maximilien of Wied's account of his travels into the interior of North America in the early 1830's. There were editions in Germany, France, and England, with the same atlas, issued in France, used for the various editions, and the captions are in French, German and English, and the imprints of all three publishers are in the plate.
