Description:
24 pp. 8½x5¼, rebound in black cloth-backed boards, new endpapers. Second Edition. History of the Connecticut prison where immate Thirza Mansfield resided. She was convicted in New Haven in 1825 for murder and was sentenced to be hanged, but her sentence was altered to life in prison at Newgate. She was later transfered to the prison at Wethersfield.
