From the library of Gus M. Bagnard, Grey's cinematographer, signed by Grey on the front flyleaf. Also with a presentation inscription from Grey's youngest son, Loren (1915-2007), "Dear Gus / Hoping that we may some day / take a trip like this and write a / book about it. / Loren / Altadena (the roost) / Xmas 1929." Especially notable inasmuch as Loren's "first fish story" is included by his proud Poppa at the beginning of Chapter 12 of this work, and a photo of an 11-year-old Loren "the bait catcher" is on plate 83. Laid in are four original photos from the Zane Grey estate that were published in the book (plates 20, 50, 68, 69). Each is captioned on the verso by Grey and three bear additional notes concerning their provenance from Loren Gray dated 1990 and '91.
