Interesting letter relating to FDR's interest in philately - he writes to L.F. Livingston at the Main Post Office Building in Atlanta, Georgia, "I have received your letter of August ninth and appreciate very much your kindly thought in arranging to have that interesting set of covers sent to me. I am very glad to have them for my collection..." Accompanied by a carbon of the letter sent by Livingston, Chairman of the Air Mail Week Campaign, "I thought you might be interested in receiving a cover from each of the offices in the Sate from which mall will be collected by plane on the opening day of the campaign and I have, therefore, taken the liberty of sending an air mail cover to each one of those postmasters, addressed to you, requesting that their cachets be placed thereon, so that these covers will be sent to you for your personal collection..." Also present are six sheets with photostatic reproducing 34 postal cachets from Georgia post offices.
