The Check Collector, Journal of the American Society of Check Collectors.  (Boynton Beach, Florida, 1993-2006) 51 quarterly issues, Nos. 27-79 (Aug. 1993 to July-Sept. 2006). A nearly complete 13 year run, lacking only Nos. 32 and 78. Undoubtedly issued in a very limited edition for the few hundred members of the Society. Original illustrated wrappers. 8.5 x 11 inches, each copy with 28 to 36 pages. 

The Society was founded in 1969, but this journal was not published until 1986. There is a wide range of subject matter, such as checks of Alaska and Panama railroads, Australian fauna, baseball, police, gold mining, automobiles, music, African-American, the Confederacy, American and foreign banks, financial fraud and forgery, and checks autographed by celebrities and historical figures – with profuse illustrations throughout of ornate financial printing of yesteryear. Scarce imprints. WorldCat locates holdings in only two American institutions, neither apparently having a complete set.
