Fine printing of an auction catalogue, the 308 lots sold comprising an incredible collection of rarities, from an ancient Egyptian illuminated manuscript and a Gutenberg Bible to rare printings of Galileo, Dante, Pascal, Machiavelli, Montaigne, Bacon, Milton, Spinoza, Newton, Melville, Nietzsche, Darwin, Whitman, Joyce, T.S.Eliot, and T.E.Lawrence.  The top prices paid were $2 million for all Four Folios of Shakespeare and $1.65 million for the first edition of Don Quixote. A beautifully-produced catalogue.
