Seminal report by one of the foremost experts on the subject - Adams was the US Dept. of Agriculture’s Irrigation Manager in California - and one of the most important cartographic studies of the state. Outstanding, detailed maps - state-wide and regional- that show not only the use of irrigation but also the location of all agricultural lands at the time, before the expansion of highways and communities.
