The archive includes:

• Silver photograph of the hotel in the final stages of construction. 20.5x25 cm (8x9¾”), mounted on thin cardboard.
• Silver photograph of the just-completed hotel, with staff members on the balconies and front porch. 20.5x25 cm (8x9¾”), mounted on thin cardboard.
• Oval photograph portrait of J.G., Holborow, Lessee & Manager, mounted in cardboard display with the “The Holborow / Completed in 21 Days” at the top. Overall 23x27 cm (9x10¾”).
• Oval photograph portrait of A.L. Ross, Owner, mounted in cardboard. Overall 23x27 cm (9x10¾”).

The photographs were undoubtedly part of a display board that has been separated, a rare piece of hotel ephemera. Present is a print-out of a short piece from the Los Angeles Herald, July 2, 1904, about the opening of the hotel, noting that “The visitors were profuse in their praises of the new hostelry.”
