Large collection of approximately 100 photographs of San Francisco scenes, most with locations captioned in the negative. Most approximately 7x9", a few smaller.

A wonderful collection of San Francisco scenes in the years and decades preceding the 1906 earthquake, includes several copy photographs of 1850s scenes by Fardon, most appear to be early 20th century copy photographs of 19th century images. Many produced by T.E. Hecht, with his studio name in the negative. Mostly scenes of the downtown business district, also a few photographs of early illustrations of San Francisco. A wealth of pre-earthquake information contained in these images.
