Rare promotional booklet for the upscale tourist destination on the eastern end of the south shore of Long Island, with "all the charm of England and Scotland, and less than three hours from New York." Created largely by the developer Carl G. Fisher, Montauk Beach was home to a yacht club, a golf course, a "tennis auditorium," a luxury hotel, and many buildings in Tudor Revival style. The photographs and illustrations include views of lighthouses, manors, recreation activities, club houses, fishing, maps, yachts, landscapes, polo, horse riding, railroad stations, ferries, domestic architecture and beaches. OCLC/WorldCat lists only four copies of the booklet, at Columbia University, Stony Brook University, Suffolk Community College, and Yale University.
