Plea for charitable contributions in the aftermath of the Indian famine of 1896-1897, the effects of which were felt for years afterward. The photographic illustrations are naturally disturbing. An interesting aspect is the gradation of the impact of different levels of contribution - two cents a day to support one life, ten dollars to save a whole family from death, one hundred dollars to save a small community, etc. No copies of this pamphlet are listed in OCLC/WorldCat.
