The note reads: "In Camp Winter Hill, January 27, 1778. A Weekly Returne of Capt. Titcomb Company," and then it lists the various ranked officials of the camp at Winter Hill. Winter Hill, just outside of Boston, was used as a POW camp for British troops captured during the Revolutionary War, operating from 1777-1778.
