A collection of approximately 150 different editions of the Rubaiyat. Various sizes and bindings, many illustrated.

A large assemblage of different printings of what is certainly one of the most often printed books in any language. Represented in the collection are several early editions (London: Bernard Quaritch, 1872 & 1879 * London: Trubner, 1882 & 1883 * New York: Houghton, Mifflin, 1888 * Boston: Joseph Knight, 1896 * Portland: Thomas B. Mosher, 1897 * etc.), numerous illustrated editions (Arthur Szyk, Willy Pogany, Adelaide Hanscom, Edmond Dulac, Gilbert James, Frank Brangwyn, Valenti Angelo, Blanche McManus, etc.), many limited and finely printed editions, trade editions, etc. Also included are several works about the Rubaiyat.
