One of the most sought-after of Ashendene imprints, this is a rare Presentation copy inscribed on the front free endpaper to John Galsworthy by the printer Charles Harold St John Hornby, signed with his initials, dated 25 Oct. 1907. With Galsworthy's bookplate on the verso of the front free endpaper, and the small bookplate of George Abrams on the front pastedown. Hornby is known to have inscribed several works to Galsworthy. Pencil access mark to front flyleaf, otherwise without markings.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
