Introduction by Lionel Lindsay. 218, [5] pp. Approximately 120 mounted examples of woodcut bookplates (many colored, several signed), numerous other reprinted within text. (4to) parchment-backed boards, pictorial dust jacket. No. 174 of 210 copies. First Edition.

Signed by the author at the colophon. Includes the designs of many noted artists, such as: Edward Gordon Craig, Lucien Pissarro, Frank Brangwyn, Rockwell Kent, Lionel Lindsay, L. Roy Davies, and many others. Photograph of Barnett tipped to front endpaper. Scarce.

Condition:

Jacket edge worn and with some foxing and soiling; binding leaning, light wear, previous owner's name on front free endpaper in ink; very good in a like jacket.
