xv, [1], 163 pp, [1]. With approx. 30 plates from paintings. (4to) 31.5x23 cm (12½x9"). Linen, spine and cover lettered in gilt, tissue guards. Number 231 from an edition limited to 352 copies.

Andrew and his older brother Nathaniel trained as clockmakers but both ran away from home and travelled for over two years in Wales and the west of England with a troupe of Gypsies. About 1781 they settled in London where Andrew took up work as a manservant to Richard Cosway, who later trained him in portrait painting.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
