Slip announcing Berman's leaving Los Angeles to publish elsewhere following a conviction stemming from the 1957 raid on his exhibit at the Ferus Gallery and his arrest on obscenity charges is mounted on the rear. Berman's small magazine Semina, was a series of limited edition, sent or given to his friends, generally consisting of collages mixed with poetry by various writers including Michael McClure, Philip Lamantia, David Meltzer, Charles Bukowski, William S. Burroughs, Allen Ginsberg, Jean Cocteau, John Kelly Reed and by Berman himself (under the pseudonym Pantale Xantos).
