2 volumes (of 3). 360; 375 pp. Woodcut initials, head and tail pieces. (12mo) 17x10 cm (6½x4"), period mottled calf, gilt decorated spines, morocco spine labels lettered in gilt; marbled endpapers and edges. 

The first two (of three) volumes of the First French translation of the earliest history of California, first published in Madrid in 1757. The folding map is not present. With decorative bookplate on the front pastedown of  vol. 1.

Invoices are sent out the day following the auction and include a minimum $10 handling fee plus actual shipping and insurance charges.
